Prerequisites: What You Actually Need
- ✦A bed (or any comfortable place to lie down)
- ✦10 minutes before sleep
- ✦A chosen scene (one moment that implies your wish fulfilled)
That's it. No crystals. No special music. No expensive courses. SATS is free, available every night, and requires nothing but your own consciousness.
Step 1: Choose Your Scene (Do This Before Bed)
This is the most important step, and it happens *before* you lie down.
Choose a single brief scene — one moment in time that implies your desire has already manifested. The scene should be:
- ✦**Specific.** Not "I am successful" but "I am holding my first book with my name on the cover."
- ✦**Implied.** The scene should imply the fulfilled desire, not show you getting it. Not the moment of receiving, but a moment *after*.
- ✦**First-person.** You are in the scene, not watching it.
- ✦**Emotionally resonant.** When you mentally step into the scene, you should feel something shift in your body.
- ✦Someone congratulating you on your promotion
- ✦Looking at your bank balance and feeling the quiet satisfaction of abundance
- ✦Waking up next to the person you love
- ✦Unlocking the door of your new home
Keep the same scene for at least 30 days. Consistency is more powerful than variety.
Step 2: Enter the Hypnagogic State
Lie down in your usual sleep position. Close your eyes.
Begin a slow body scan: start at your feet and consciously release each muscle group upward. Feet. Calves. Thighs. Hips. Stomach. Chest. Shoulders. Arms. Hands. Neck. Face.
You're not meditating — you're cooperating with the body's natural relaxation response. Don't force anything. This usually takes 3-5 minutes.
- ✦Your thoughts begin to drift and feel less controlled
- ✦You start to see brief, fleeting images (hypnagogic imagery)
- ✦Your body feels heavy or distant
- ✦Time starts to feel slippery
Step 3: Enter the Scene
Once you feel the shift into the hypnagogic state, gently bring your chosen scene to mind.
Don't force it with effort. Invite it like a familiar memory. You've practiced this scene enough times that it should arrive easily.
Step into the scene from the inside. Feel the ground under your feet if you're standing. Feel the texture of whatever you're touching. Hear any sounds. Notice the emotional tone — that settled, satisfied quality of the wish fulfilled.
Step 4: Loop Gently
Don't play the scene once and wait. Loop it — gently, without urgency — like a song you love playing on repeat.
The scene should be short enough to loop naturally. 15-30 seconds is ideal. If your scene is too long, you'll find yourself analyzing it rather than feeling it.
Each time through, lean into the feeling more than the imagery. The feeling is the instruction. The imagery is just the delivery mechanism.
Step 5: Fall Asleep in the Scene
Your goal is to fall asleep while still in the scene — or as close to it as possible. The last conscious impression you carry into sleep is the most deeply planted.
If your mind wanders (and it will), gently return to the scene without frustration. Wandering is not failure. It is the nature of the hypnagogic state.
Troubleshooting
"I fall asleep before I can even start the scene." Do SATS earlier — right when you lie down, before you're too drowsy. Or try a brief SATS session in the early morning, when you wake but aren't fully alert.
"My mind keeps analyzing whether it's working." This is the critical factor still active. It means you're not yet in the hypnagogic state. Go back to Step 2 and spend more time on the body relaxation.
"I can't visualize clearly." Clarity of imagery is not required. What matters is the feeling. Some people do SATS with virtually no imagery and excellent results. Lean entirely into the emotional tone.
"How long before I see results?" This varies. Some people see results within days. Others within 30-90 days. Remember the echo delay — current reality is a projection of past consciousness. Be patient with the bridge.
